About the Artist
New Jersey Artist, D. Gail Guenther, has been drawing and painting since she could hold a pencil. Gail attended Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA, and spent most of her career in advertising, including owning and operating her own agency for over 12 years. In 1996, after a trip to Utah, Gail resumed painting after a 20 year hiatus spent in advertising, which had kept her away from her easel.
Gail’s portraits and paintings have been purchased by clients in NJ, NY, PA, VA, SC, MS, OK, TX, ID, CA, NV, OH, Canada, England, Iraq, Russia, Egypt and Brazil!
In 2000, Gail sold her home and purchased a new motor home to help fulfill her dream of traveling West and painting people, critters and landscapes. Her journey lasted seven months, finally ending in Elko, Nevada for the 17th Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering. Gail completed 43 paintings while on the road, most consignments,.
Gail has donated artwork to benefit charities, fund raisers, and horse show awards. She has painted nearly every discipline of riding. Western scenes, family, pet and horse portraits done on the road make up the bulk of Gail’s work.
